Students from St. Marcus School in Milwaukee spend time with seniors at Newcastle Place in Mequon

MEQUON -- Some people representing different generations came together Monday, October 19th for a special event at Mequon's Newcastle Place.

St. Marcus students visit Newcastle Place

Newcastle Place is a full service senior living community, and students from St. Marcus School in Milwaukee visited the community on Monday.

Residents and students ate lunch together and worked on a fall craft.

Students were also set to perform a song for the seniors.

Newcastle Place officials say special events like these are significant for their residents.

"Our seniors have the opportunity to interact with young children and listen to each other and express together, create together and just have a good time," Marla Stephens with Newcastle Place said.

This is the second year of the program between Newcastle and St. Marcus.
