Planned Parenthood clinic in Appleton suspends abortion services
APPLETON — A Planned Parenthood clinic in northeastern Wisconsin is suspending abortion services.
WBAY-TV reports that the Appleton North Health Center says it stopped providing abortions October 14th due to a temporary gap in medical staff coverage. The clinic says it plans to resume in about six months.
In the interim, Planned Parenthood is referring women seeking abortions to clinics in Madison and Milwaukee.
The organization says its separate family planning center in Appleton remains open.
