DPW officials: More than 150 complaints regarding street flooding as rain pushes through

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Department of Public Works officials have taken more than 150 complaints regarding street flooding as rain continues to move through on Tuesday, November 17th.

We're told there have been 155 surface flooding/ponding in streets complaints.

Jet-vac crews are responding to handle these complaints.

The rain moving through southeastern Wisconsin resulted in a Flood Advisory being issued for five counties in southeastern Wisconsin -- but that advisory expired at 8:45 p.m.

MMSD officials said they started started combined sewage treatment at 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday at the Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility.

Combined sewage treatment involves pumping stormwater and wastewater directly out of the Deep Tunnel to disinfection chambers before the water is returned to Lake Michigan.
