Harley-Davidson gives thanks to first responders with free Riding Academy motorcycle training

MILWAUKEE -- In the true spirit of Thanksgiving, Harley-Davidson announced Tuesday, November 17th that they will expand their free Riding Academy motorcycle training offer as a gift of thanks to first responders – law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMS professionals past and present.

The Riding Academy provides basic rider training via Harley-Davidson Riding Academy or certified motorcycle safety programs.

The free offer, available January 1st – December 31st, 2016, has the potential to impact millions of Americans who have dedicated their lives to helping others.

Bill Davidson, great-grandson of one of the company’s founders, unveiled the offer at Station 23, Milwaukee’s first firehouse and current Tactical EMS Team HQ.

"We're thrilled because there is literally millions of men and women out in the u-s that again put their lives on line each and everyday to help all of us, this is just a small gesture on the behalf of harley-davidson to say thank you," Bill Davidson said.

Also Tuesday, Harley employees across the country visited fire stations and served firefighters lunch.

They also washed and waxed some vehicles at the fire stations.
