One dead, three injured after violent night in Milwaukee; police believe incidents connected



Fatal shooting near 6th and Meinecke



MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating multiple shootings that occurred early Thursday morning, December 3rd. As a result, three people are in the hospital and one person is dead -- and Milwaukee police think it's all connected.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired near 6th and Meinecke around 12:13 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 28-year-old man in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, he died on scene from his injuries.

17-year-old found with laceration near 8th & Locust



About the same time, officers responded to the area of 8th and Locust, where they found a 17-year-old male suffering from a laceration to his forehead. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury.

Shortly after that, officers responded to an accident where a vehicle struck a pole at E. North Avenue and N. Bartlett Street . Upon arrival, officers discovered two more victim’s also suffering from gunshots wounds.

The 29-year-old male driver was transported for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The 28-year-old male passenger was transported for treatment of a serious injury.

All victims are from Milwaukee

At this point of the investigation, police believe that all of these injuries stem from the initial incident on N. 6th Street.

Police say their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.
