According to the criminal complaint, between November 4th and December 22nd police received two separate tip calls in connection to the case. Timm was taken into custody on December 24th.

On December 28th, investigators spoke with an individual who works with and is friends with Timm. According to the complaint, this person stated that sometime in the summer he recalled an incident where Timm had called him for help. This individual stated that on this date Timm showed up to his residence intoxicated. Later in that night, Timm allegedly left the residence in his GMC Denali.

The individual stated that approximately 20 minutes later he received a frantic phone call from Timm stating that he had just hit something. This person stated that he told Timm to pull over and call the police, but Timm said he didn't want to because he didn't want another OWI charge.

Timm eventually pulled over near 60th and Beloit and waited for his friend to arrive. When his friend arrived on scene, Timm asked if he could take his vehicle back to his garage and store it there until it could get fixed.

The complaint indicates that Timm kept his vehicle inside his friend's garage for about a month before he repaired it. After the repairs were complete, Timm allegedly removed the vehicle from the garage and took it up north.

If convicted, Timm could face up to 15 years in prison and $50,000 in fines.
