Drivers take note: Center Street bridge over 41/45 will be demolished this weekend

MILWAUKEE -- The Center Street Bridge is coming down this weekend and some closures tonight on the Zoo Interchange. Ryan Luck with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation joins FOX6 WakeUp to talk about everything that's going to impact your commute.

Friday, January 29
Overnight Full Closure of the Zoo Interchange ramp from I-41/894 North to I-94 East
Center Street Bridge Demolition
I-41 North/South full closure 10PM - 10AM for demolition of the Center Street Bridge.
I-41 North closed at Mayfair Road
I-41 South closed at Burleigh Street
*contingency for this closure will be Friday, February 5

Saturday, January 30
Center Street Bridge Demolition
I-41 North/South full closure 10PM - 10AM for demolition of the Center Street Bridge.
I-41 North closed at Mayfair Road
I-41 South closed at Burleigh Street
*contingency for this closure will be Saturday, February 6
(The detour route for the demolition closure: Southbound: Burleigh to WIS 100 to North Avenue. Northbound: Mayfair Road to WIS 100 to Burleigh. Law enforcement will be managing traffic at ramps and major intersections. All of the entrance ramps at Watertown Plank Road will also be closed during the demolition)

Tuesday, February 2
I-94 East/West full closure 10PM - 5AM for sign bridge installation
I-94 East full closure at 84th Street
I-94 West full closure at 68th Street
Full closure of I-41 South to I-94 East system ramp
Full closure of I-41/894 North to I-94 East system ramp
