Brown Deer police: Wrong-way driver dies after three-vehicle crash on Green Bay Road

BROWN DEER -- Brown Deer police say a wrong-way driver has died after a crash on Friday, February 5th near Green Bay Road and Deerwood Drive.

It happened around 8:30 p.m.

The deceased has been identified as 59-year-old Charles Washington of Milwaukee.

Washington died on February 10th as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.

The crash involved three vehicles.

It was determined that Washington was driving the wrong way -- headed north on Green Bay Road in the southbound lanes.

Two people had to be taken to the hospital after the crash. A third person was treated at the scene.

Washington was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

A preliminary investigation indicated alcohol may have contributed to the crash.

The Wisconsin State Patrol was called in to assist with this investigation, which is ongoing.
