Dustin Diamond, "Screech" from Saved by the Bell released from jail a month early
OZAUKEE COUNTY -- Dustin "Screech" Diamond was released from jail on Monday, April 11th.
Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials say Diamond was released shortly before 2:30 p.m.
While an inmate at the Ozaukee County Jail, Diamond agreed to participate in the "Jail Porter Program." He was selected to serve as a general custodial maintenance porter and received one day of "good time" for every 24 hours worked.
He was able to earn 30 days of good time, and thus, he was released a month early -- serving just under three months behind bars for carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.
He was able to knock a month off his sentence by cleaning floors in the jail, and doing laundry.
Diamond was convicted for stabbing a man during a bar fight back in December 2014.
