Two people taken to the hospital after crash involving three vehicles in Cedarburg

OZAUKEE COUNTY -- Two people had to be taken to the hospital after a crash involving three vehicles that happened in Cedarburg on Monday morning, May 2nd.

It happened on Pioneer Road at Wauwatosa Road/State Highway 181.

An initial investigation has revealed a 16-year-old boy from Cedarburg headed east on Pioneer Road failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle while he was attempting to make a left turn onto Wauwatosa Road.

The 16-year-old boy's vehicle struck a vehicle being driven by a 36-year-old Cedarburg man.

A third vehicle was struck after the collision.

A utility pole and traffic light post were damaged as a result of the crash.

Two of the drivers involved in the crash had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The 16-year-old boy received a citation for failure to yield the right of way.

Northbound Wauwatosa Road from Pioneer Road, and westbound Pioneer Road were shut down as crews worked to repair the traffic lights.
