31-year-old man dead after drive-by shooting near Sherman & Wright



MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that happened Wednesday, May 25th near Sherman and Wright -- across the street from a school.

Police say 31-year-old Bruce Jordan of Milwaukee was inside a vehicle when a suspect in a passing vehicle fired shots -- which struck Jordan.

It happened shortly before 11:30 a.m.

"They were giving him CPR for a real long time," a neighbor said.

Squad cars, officers and crime tape surrounded the neighborhood, as neighbors described an unsettling scene.

"It messed me up," a neighbor said.

Police say Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene. His vehicle crashed into a tree in the area.

"It's sad. A life was took right in front of my eyes," a neighbor said.

"It saddens me to see another loss of life in the community," a neighbor said.

Those living in the area said they're sick and tired of all the violence.

"This is a community where I work and live. It scares me for the children," a neighbor said.

The circumstances surrounding this shooting are under investigation -- and police are searching for suspect(s). Police said at no time was anyone at the school across the street in any danger.
