Rebuilding season hurts Milwaukee Brewers attendance, TV ratings

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers fans are showing less interest in the team through the first half of the season.

During this so-called "rebuilding year," home attendance is down 12 percent and TV ratings are down 25 percent.

Keep in mind, that is through the first 42 home games of the season.

Attendance is averaging about 28,000 fans this year.

Last year, it was closer to 32,000.

This is part of a bigger trend in Major League baseball in 2016, as attendance is down for 20 of the 30 teams.
