Police investigate homicide: 29-year-old man dies after shooting near 6th & Keefe

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened near 6th and Keefe on Monday evening, July 18th.

It happened around 7:45 p.m.

Police say a 29-year-old man was approached by suspect(s) who shot him after he left a bar in the area. The victim has been identified as Jovanni Sims.

The victim died as he was being taken to the hospital.

A 32-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested in connection with this crime and MPD’s investigation is ongoing.

MPD is investigating.
