DELAVAN — Delavan firefighters rescued a seagull on Sunday, July 24th — at a Walgreen’s parking lot.

According to a Facebook post (below) posted by the Delavan Police Department, the bird was caught on a light pole. A fishing hook was found to be through its mouth — and the fishing line attached to it had gotten wrapped around the pole.

After being freed from the pole by firefighters, a Vet Tech and one of the officers removed the fishing line from the gull. They released it after that.
