Investigation underway after 57-year-old man found dead at the KK Sports Complex

MILWAUKEE -- An investigation is underway after a man was found dead Monday, August 8th at the KK Sports Complex near 20th and Oklahoma.

Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies and detectives received a 911 call around 6:30 p.m. regarding a man found unresponsive under a tree off a path near a baseball diamond at the KK Sports Complex.

The Milwaukee Fire Department attempted life-saving procedures, but were unable to resuscitate him

The 57-year-old man was found by several witnesses who went to check on him when they saw him in a slumped over position. Drug paraphernalia was found with the man's belongings, according to Sheriff's officials.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office's Criminal Investigation Division is handling the investigation.
