One dead following crash on CTH A in Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY -- The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal crash on CTH A, south of CTH W, in the Township of Oak Grove early Friday morning, August 19th.

The preliminary investigation shows that a 19-year-old Hartford man was operating a vehicle south on CTH A.  Officials say the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, drove off of the left roadway shoulder and struck an embankment.

The vehicle vaulted and struck two trees before coming to rest.

The 19-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.   There were no other occupants or vehicles involved in this crash.

Identity of the 19-year-old driver is being withheld pending notification of family.

Assisting at the scene was:  Beaver Dam and Juneau EMS, Juneau Fire Department, Dodge County Medical Examiner, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain, Dodge County Emergency Response Team.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
