Police: Man shoots, wounds teenage boy he suspected of stealing a family vehicle
MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that happened just west of 76th and Florist on the city’s northwest side on Monday, December 19th.
Officials say a 14-year-old boy from Milwaukee was inside of a stolen vehicle. The suspect, a 26-year-old Milwaukee man, recognized the stolen vehicle as belonging to a family member and attempted to take back the vehicle. As he did so, the 14-year-old was shot.
The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment of a serious injury.
The suspect remained on scene and was arrested by police without incident.
