Cleanup underway at Menomonee River after malfunction at Waste Management facility

Cleanup is underway at the Menomonee River.

Waste Management officials said a pump at a manhole at their facility near County Line Road malfunctioned and an oily back-flow went into the water.

A number of booms are soaking up the oil. They will be in the river at least through Monday, January 23rd.

There's no word yet on how much oil went into the water.
