Police: 1 man dead, 1 wounded after being shot in vehicle near 54th and Burleigh

MILWAUKEE -- Police are investigating after one person was fatally shot and another was wounded near 54th and Burleigh Thursday evening, September 7th.

The shooting happened shortly after 7:15 p.m.

Police say two men were shot in a vehicle.  One of the victims died at the scene. He has been identified as 29-year-old Anthony Daniels.

The other victim suffered serious gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing and police are searching for suspects.
