Man shot, killed during a confrontation near 53rd and Fairmount, no arrests made

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigation a fatal shooting that happened Tuesday night, Sept. 18 on the city’s northwest side.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. in the area of 53rd and Fairmount.

According to police, the preliminary investigation reveals that a 45-year-old man was shot during a confrontation that took place inside of a house.

Circumstances that led up to the shooting are still being investigated.

The Milwaukee Fire Department provided medical support for the victim, however, he died on the scene.

The investigation is on-going and MPD continues to search for a suspect(s).
