'Just glad we didn't get hurt:' Stolen vehicle crashes into home on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are looking for suspects who crashed a stolen vehicle into a home near 33rd and Lloyd Friday morning, July 26. The crash happened right in front of the homeowner who was feet away from being hit.

"You messed up my home, which everything can be replaced. It's just how it was done," said Lillie Dawson.

A neighbor's surveillance video captured the moment the vehicle slammed into Lillie Dawson's home.

"The TV blew across to my dining room," Dawson said.

Video shows two suspects running away after the crash.

"I was like, 'I see you all!' Like you all really going to do this and take off running?" said Dawson.

"When I opened up the back door, the car just came through my window. Everything just blew towards me," said Dawson.

Police say the vehicle was stolen and are still looking for the suspects.

Dawson, though still in shock, says she's counting her blessings.

"I kept saying, 'This is a dream, this is a dream,'" Dawson said. "I'm just glad we didn't get hurt behind it."
