42nd and Capitol triple shooting: police

Milwaukee police are investigating a triple shooting that happened near 42nd and Capitol late Saturday night, Jan. 1.

Police say several individuals were involved in an argument when shots were fired. 

A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman sustained life-threatening injuries. She was transported to the hospital for treatment and is in critical condition. A 37-year-old Milwaukee man sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a hospital and is in critical condition. A 26-year-old Illinois man sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition. 

The 37-year-old male and a 31-year-old Illinois woman were arrested. 

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
