2 Milwaukee homicides, 200+ in Milwaukee County in 2021
MILWAUKEE - Two Milwaukee men were killed within five minutes of each other in separate homicides the day before Thanksgiving. After the crimes, the medical examiner tweeted Milwaukee County has now seen more than 200 murders in 2021, breaking a record set in 2020.
According to Milwaukee police, officers responded to 44th and Lisbon at 5:25 p.m., where a 33-year-old man was shot multiple times and died at the scene. This appears to have been related to a robbery, police added. No arrests have been made.
Five minutes later, at 5:30, police were on scene near MLK and Wright, where a 29-year-old man suffered a single gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. Police are investigating what led to this crime. No arrests have been made.
