According to court filings, video from the area showed the victims parked in a Kia when a Chevrolet pulled up. A man in a ski mask was hanging out the window and started shooting into the victims' car.

A few hours later, police were called to a car fire near Dineen Park. Court filings said it was the same Chevrolet sought in connection to the shooting.

Arrests after vigil

A vigil for the victims was held on Sunday, Dec. 29. Undercover police were at the vigil and recognized a man who had a warrant out for his arrest; it's not clear for what offense.

Police said they pulled over the car the man was driving for a traffic violation, and nobody had their seatbelts on. Inside the car, investigators found three guns and drugs. Officers then arrested three convicted felons.

It is not yet clear how all the people involved are connected.
