Milwaukee attempted robbery, fatal shooting

A shootout during an attempted robbery ended with an armed robber being shot and killed near 87th and Silver Spring.

MILWAUKEE - A shootout during an attempted robbery ended with an armed robber being shot and killed near 87th and Silver Spring after trying to rob two people on Friday, Aug. 11.

Police said an armed robber attempted to rob two victims around 10:30 a.m.

One of the victims was also armed, and shots were exchanged, striking the armed robber and the unarmed robbery victim. The armed robber was a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy. He died at the scene. The medical examiner identified him as Jajuan Taylor.

The robbery victim, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man, was taken to a hospital for treatment of wounds.

Milwaukee police are looking for an additional robber.
