Milwaukee New Year's Eve fireworks show; public invited to Deer District
MILWAUKEE - You are invited to ring in the new year with a bang in downtown Milwaukee.
The "Cheer District," presented by the We Energies Foundation, is set to host a free fireworks display on New Year's Eve (Tuesday, Dec. 31) starting at 8 p.m. CT. They will follow the 6 p.m. show of the Harlem Globetrotters at Fiserv Forum.
Officials say the fireworks are set to be launched across from The Trade Hotel (1224 N. Vel R Phillips Avenue).
The public is encouraged to view the fireworks from Deer District's plaza. Those who plan to take part are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets.

The Fiserv Forum website says New Year’s Eve specials will be available throughout the evening at The MECCA Sports Bar & Grill, Good City Brewing, Drink Wisconsinbly Pub, Fat Tuesday and The Trade.
