WHITEFISH BAY, Wis. - A historic theater in Whitefish Bay could get a multi-million dollar makeover. The Village Board will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 21 to discuss plans to revive the Fox Bay Theater.
The Fox Bay Theater on Silver Spring Drive closed its doors in September 2020.
What we know:
Argo is an entertainment business. It wants to transform the Fox Bay Theater into a premium multipurpose live entertainment venue with a bar and restaurant.
This special meeting on Tuesday night will feature a proposal from the new tenant, who will introduce themselves and their experience as well as outline their plans for interior design, programming, financing, event security, and a timeline for a late summer opening.

Village documents say the renovations would cost about $7.5 million. That total also includes solutions to potential parking and noise concerns.
New Land Enterprises owns the Fox Bay Theater. Together with Argo, the real estate company is asking the village to approve a $1 million in village financing to support this development.

The Village Board will meet Tuesday night to listen to the proposal. If approved, the venue would open at the end of the year.
