Waukesha hit-and-run crash; man critically hurt, woman arrested
WAUKESHA, Wis. - A 63-year-old man suffered critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle near Hartwell and White Rock Avenue in Waukesha on Saturday evening, Dec. 28. Officials say the driver of that striking vehicle is in police custody.
Waukesha police received a 911 call about the incident around 6:15 p.m. Saturday. The caller indicated the victim was hit by a vehicle.
The Waukesha Fire Department provided advanced lifesaving care – and took the victim to a trauma center.

The investigative team, led by the City of Waukesha Major Crash Investigative Team, was able to develop a vehicle of interest. The investigators were able to make an arrest in the case. A 57-year-old woman who lives in Waukesha was arrested and taken to the Waukesha County Jail. Officials say they believe "operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated" may have been a factor in the crash.
