Celebrating snowfall at Waukesha County parks

WAUKESHA COUNTY -- Ever since the snow fell on Thursday, some have flocked to County parks to take advantage of the winter activities!

In Waukesha, cross country skiers hit up the more than 12 miles of trails in Minooka Park. Meanwhile, those looking for a little more speed went to the sledding hill. Park officials say now is the best time to come and purchase a pass for the parks, which is good for the entire year.

The passes are available to all Waukesha County residents at a cost of $30. They will give you access to all of the parks inside the county.

Erin Schnieder purchased a pass and says it's definitely worth the money. "It's great. Actually they do a really good job with keeping the snow trails groomed and as soon as it snows, they're out here," Schnieder said.
