Burn ban lifted in three Racine County communities

RACINE CO. -- The Village of Union Grove, Town of Yorkville, and Village of Caledonia in Racine County each lifted their burn bans Tuesday, July 24th.

The burn bans first started being implemented by communities in southern Wisconsin because of the drought-like conditions. Many communities still maintain those burn bans.

Scattered showers that moved through Racine County on Tuesday morning helped ease the strain the drought has placed on yards. However, southeast Wisconsin is still far below average in terms of rainfall for the season.
