Germantown police say missing 13-year-old boy found safe

GERMANTOWN — Germantown police say Edward Vanbrabant, the missing 13-year-old boy, has been located and is safe.

Police say Edward Vanbrabant (nicknamed E.J.) left his home on Hawkeye Court in Germantown just before 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14th, leaving a note saying “bye.”

The Germantown Police Department says they were notified in the overnight hours by the family of Edward Vanbrabant, the family stated that the boy had been located and is safe. At this time, it is unclear where Vanbrabant was located, who found him, or his whereabouts after he left his home Wednesday night.
