Palermo's employees hand out Easter baskets to needy families

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Over 80 Palermo's Pizza employees got the day off on Wednesday, March 27th -- but they were still hard at work!

The staff handed out baskets of food to those in need in the Milwaukee area.

This is the sixth year that Palermo's has donated Easter baskets to the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee.

There were more than 1,500 baskets created and they included more than just an Easter meal.

"We've got a big ham, Easter ham, three Palermo's Pizzas, two big bags of chicken breast. We got some Canadian bacon and actually we have enough staples in here to feed a family of four for an entire week," Laurie Fallucca with Palermo's Pizza said.

In total, each basket had about 75 pounds of food in it.
