Fire crews battle blaze at apartment complex on Appleton Avenue

MENOMONEE FALLS (WITI) — Firefighters in Menomonee Falls on Sunday, April 28th responded to a fire at an apartment complex.

Officials say the fire broke out just after 6:00 a.m. at an apartment complex located at N81 W15085 Appleton Avenue.

Officials say the fire started in the kitchen of one apartment and spread to the entire unit. Four or five other apartments were damaged by smoke and/or water.

Officials say one person was hurt with minor burn injuries, and another person was rescued by ladder.

The fire chief estimated about $30,000 in damages to the building, but expects that number to go off.
