Police seek suspect accused of robbing Bank Mutual branch

MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police are seeking a suspect responsible for the robbery of a Bank Mutual branch located on S. 27th Street.

The robbery occurred on Wednesday, July 24th just before noon.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late 30s, 6’1″ tall, weighing 260 pounds with a heavy build, and dark complexion.

Officials say the man had a fake beard taped to his face, and was wearing dark sunglasses, a brown coat with Navy Blue horizontal stripes, gray sweatpants, black and white tennis shoes. He was carrying a vinyl Navy Blue lunch bag.

Police say the man passed a note implying he had a weapon, before fleeing from the bank, headed east.
