Laura Langemo takes flight in T-33 jet in advance of Wings Over Waukesha



WAUKESHA (WITI) -- The Wings Over Waukesha Air Show takes place this weekend: Friday, August 24th and Saturday, August 25th.

This year's show features a completely new lineup of nationally-renowned aerobatics acts, wing walkers, sky divers and contemporary and vintage aircraft from both civilian and military aviation.

As organizers made final preparations for this weekend's show, FOX6's Laura Langemo had the opportunity to take the ride of her life -- flying in a T-33 shooting star jet!

The Wings Over Waukesha Air Show is a family-friendly event that offers the opportunity to:

Ride in an airplane or helicopter, including a World War II B-17 bomber and a Ford Tri-motor!

Learn about flying, aircraft and the important role of military aviation through our interactive forums and “plane-talks”

Meet the pilots and get a close-up view of their aircraft, many of which have been painstakingly restored to their original mid-1900′s condition.

Food, beverages and aviation-related merchandise is available, and the gates open at 10:00 a.m.!

Parking is $5, and tickets are $10 for adults, kids seven to 17 are $5 and ages six and under are free.
