Brewers trade Axford, fall to Angels

MILWAUKEE - After trading reliever John Axford to the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday for a player to be named later, the Brewers lost to the L.A. Angels, 5-0, Friday night at Miller Park.
Jared Weaver tossed 7 scoreless to beat Wily Peralta, who gave up 3 runs on 4 hits in 6 innings.
Axford, second all-time on the Brewers saves list with 106 (none so far this season) goes from a team that entered Friday 19 games out of first place to a Cards ball club that was riding the top of the National League Central Division.
