MILWAUKEE (WITI) — A Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested 50-year-old Eric Thome of Franklin on Sunday, September 29th for allegedly driving drunk.

The deputy stopped Thome’s vehicle traveling on southbound I-94 near the Airport Spur around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday after observing it swerve all over the freeway.

Officials say Thome was driving with two children in the car — ages 10 and 13. He was arrested for DUI-2nd with passengers under 16 years old.

Thome admitted to drinking mixed drinks at a relative’s home in Fond du Lac. He registered a .22 on the intoximeter — nearly three times the legal limit for driving.

Thome was convicted of his first DUI offense in January 2011. If convicted on these charges, Thome faces up to six months in jail.
