GLENDALE (WITI) — A plan to convert Glendale’s Hilton Milwaukee River into a Holiday Inn is closer to becoming reality.

Glendale’s Plan Commission has signed off on an investor group’s application to buy the 162-room Hilton.

They plan to renovate all areas of the hotel, restaurant and conference center this year.

Glendale’s Common Council must review the proposal, and the buyer’s group must return to city officials in the future for approval of renovation plans.
