Rolling on the road, Brewers top Phils 6-2

PHILADELPHIA – The Milwaukee Brewers are off to their best start since 1998.  Their 6-2 victory over the Phillies on Thursday night improved their record to 7 and 2 and completed a perfect 6 and 0 road trip to Boston and Philadelphia.  No team in baseball has a better record so far this season.

Marco Estrada earned his first victory of the season in continuing the team’s strong starts.  Tyler Thornburg, Will Smith and Francisco Rodriguez did not allow a run in relief.  Rookie lefthander Wei-Chung Wang failed to get in the game again, meaning he still has not made his Major League Debut.

Khris Davis, Carlos Gomez, Aramis Ramirez and Jonathan Lucroy were among the offensive leaders.

The Brewers return home to host the Pirates and Cardinals, beginning Friday night.
