FOX6 News is told multiple reports of a machine blowing up or an explosion are not quite accurate. In a statement, the company's president writes," Instead, a machine malfunctioned spraying liquid metal around the plant floor, striking workers in their legs and backs."

Eight were injured. Four remain in the burn unit at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee. They were transported by the emergency workers who scrambled to the scene.

The company president indicated he planned to visit the hospitalized workers. He says Johnson Brass is fully cooperating with all local and federal officials investigating what happened.
