TOWN OF GRAFTON (WITI) — Ozaukee County Sheriff’s officials say they are seeking a driver after a vehicle was struck by a train in the Town of Grafton on Wednesday afternoon, May 28th.

It happened just before 3:00 p.m.

Sheriff’s officials say a white Toyota was headed westbound on Highway Q, which is east of I-43.

Sheriff’s officials say the driver of the vehicle disregarded the railroad crossing signals that were activated, and was driving across the tracks when it was struck by a small train on the rear driver’s side portion of the car.

The car sustained minor damage and fled the scene.

The operator of the train (which is described as a car pushing just a couple of small carts) was not injured.

Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the vehicle’s driver.
