Man creates disturbance at polling place in Green Bay

GREEN BAY(AP) — Police refrained from arresting a man who caused a disturbance at a polling place in Green Bay.

Brown County Clerk Sandy Juno says the man was serving as a poll worker at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay Tuesday when he began "creating a ruckus" and was telling people how to run the polls.

Police tried to convince the man to go to a local crisis center for a mental health evaluation, but did not take him into custody.

Press-Gazette Media says local election officials contacted the state Department of Justice which determined the integrity of the election at that polling place was not affected.

Officials say the man also created a disturbance at the city clerk's office and became upset when he was turned away after trying to vote at the Ashwaubenon village hall.
