Green Bay police call in water, ice rescue teams to make arrest on Fox River

GREEN BAY (AP) — Green Bay police had to call in the water and ice rescue team and its inflatable boats to make an arrest on the Fox River.

Police say a man was spotted urinating in a downtown parking lot early Sunday, January 11th and ran out onto the icy river as an officer approached. The 25-year-old man was standing in about six inches of water and was clinging to a bridge support, but refused to surrender.

Press-Gazette Media (http://gbpg.net/1BYvOGu ) says police used a stun gun to arrest the man about 30 minutes later. He was taken to St. Vincent Hospital, then to the Brown County Jail.
