Menominee Tribe takes off from Waupaca Sunday morning, headed for the Capitol in Madison

MADISON (WITI) -- The march to Madison continues for members of the Menominee Tribe. They took off from Keshena on Friday, February 13th -- walking to the Capitol in Madison to show support for a proposed Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Kenosha.

The group left from Waupaca on Sunday morning, February 15th -- heading towards the Capitol.

The Menominee Tribe wants to walk with Governor Scott Walker about the proposed casino.

Walker rejected the casino proposal last month -- saying it was too risky for taxpayers.

Then, last week, the Menominee Tribe and Hard Rock International proposed a $275 million bond and $220 million towards a new Milwaukee Bucks arena in downtown Milwaukee should Walker change his mind.

The group should arrive in Madison by Tuesday evening, February 17th.
