Milwaukee kicks it into high gear for 2015 auto show

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- If you're in the market for a new vehicle, the 2015 Milwaukee Auto Show is where you'll want to go.

Buckle-up Milwaukee! the 2015 Greater Milwaukee Auto Show is in town and these dealers are ready to kick it into high gear!

"It's a great opportunity to show everyone our great line-up of vehicles and our new product to the market," said Tina Ferri, with Ford Motor Company.

The auto show includes a 2016 Ford Explorer with park assist and 180° cameras -- it's expected to hit the dealerships this summer.

They've also rolled out a new revolutionary F-150 truck with an aluminum alloy body.

"It makes the truck 700lbs lighter but just as strong and tough," said Ferri.

Tim Wallinger and his wife, Becky, enjoy the family friendly atmosphere with no pressure to buy.

"Always interested in the new cars and the new designs and styles that are out right now, and it's a great way to spend good quality family time together," said Wallinger.

Tim Wallinger may not be in the market for a new car right now, but their 9-year-old son, Tyler, has his eyes set on a Lamborghini!

One of the greatest things about the Milwaukee Auto Show is if you find a car you like, you can go outside and test drive it yourself.

"As long as they have a valid driver's license, are 18 years or older and can pass a breathalyzer test, they can come out and drive in one of our 11 vehicles that we have," said Quinn Magsig, with FIAT Chrysler Automobile Ride & Drive.

Including the redesigned 2015 Chrysler 200 that comes equipped with an 8.4 touch-screen navigation system.

"With that you can connect your phone to, you have apps and heated seats, cooled seats and heated steering wheel," said Magsig.

During these harsh Wisconsin winters that's a nice feature, but it's only one of the many you'll find at this year's auto show.

The show is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. -- and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The auto show will run through March 1st.
