Greendale police seek suspect accused of credit card fraud at Bed Bath & Beyond store

GREENDALE (WITI) -- Greendale police are looking for a suspect accused of credit card fraud.

Police say on Thursday, March 12th, the suspect attempted to use a credit card to purchase more than $200 worth of gift cards at Bed Bath & Beyond. The suspect swiped a VISA card but it came back as a Masercard.

The purchase was rejected by an employee.

Police say the suspect refused to show identifcation with the credit card.

The suspect is described as an African-American woman with long, straight hair. She was wearing a black leather coat, and stands approximately 5'8" tall. She was driving a black Nissan sedan with no front plate and a white rear plate with red letters and numbers. It appeared to be a specialized plate or and out-of-state plate.
