Email sent to parents after graffiti discovered on bathroom wall at Waukesha South High School

WAUKESHA (WITI) -- Waukesha police say parents of South High School students were notified after graffiti containing the word "Columbine" was discovered inside the school.

An email was sent to parents Friday morning, March 20th by Principal Timothy Joynt.

Police say in addition to containing the word "Columbine," the graffiti had what appears to be a signature of "Crow" with wings drawn on either side. The graffiti was discovered on a wall in a bathroom.

South High School's Resource Officer is working with police to determine the identity of the person(s) responsible for the graffiti.

Police say despite there being no threat associated with the graffiti, the Waukesha Police Department is taking this seriously. Students were excused from school Friday if their parents wanted to take them out of class.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police.
