Investigators: Fire at Waukesha home is deemed “suspicious”

WAUKESHA (WITI) — The Waukesha Fire and Police Departments are teaming up to investigate a suspicious fire at a home on Madison St. on Friday, April 17th.

Firefighters responded to the home around 2:30 a.m. for a report of a fire on the back porch. The resident of the home was alerted by fire/smoke alarms and was able to extinguish the fire with a garden hose as officers arrived on scene.  He was unharmed in the incident. Two vehicles on the property were also damaged.

Damage to the residence is estimated at about $10,000.  That estimate does not include damage to the vehicles.

No one is in custody at this time.
