He was wanted on a nationwide felony warrant for first degree reckless homicide, and two counts of child abuse causing great bodily harm in the death and abuse of 14-month-old twin boys. One of the boys died.

On July 15th, Fond du Lac police announced a 23-year-old woman from Calumet City, Illinois had been arrested in this case. At that time, police said additional arrests were anticipated.

The woman was taken into custody on preliminary charges of child neglect causing death and child neglect causing great bodily harm.

The 14-month-old boy’s death occurred at an apartment in the 800 block of Martin Avenue.

“We are glad that Mr. Griffin is now in custody and can be held accountable for the horrific crimes he is accused of. I want to thank Detectives Matt Bobo and Nick Hahn as well as our partners with the U.S. Marshal’s Office — especially their Milwaukee, Chicago and Dallas Field Offices for all their hard work on this case,” Fond du Lac Police Chief William Lamb said.

“We are pleased to have been able to have the Marshals Service assist the Fond du Lac Police Department in apprehending this fugitive who is accused of committing this unthinkably violent act against innocent babies,” Kevin Carr, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Griffin is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail — awaiting extradition and transport back to Wisconsin.
