MPD's Bomb Squad investigates suspicious package found outside Menomonee Falls post office

MENOMONEE FALLS -- A suspicious package left outside the Menomonee Falls post office prompted the Milwaukee Police Department Bomb Squad to investigate.

Police say a suspicious white package was left outside near a row of mailboxes on Saturday afternoon, October 10th.

The MPD's Bomb Squad was called in to assess the package. After investigation, it was determined there was no threat and the package contained ordinary mail.

Appleton Avenue (WIS 175) was blocked in both directions for approximately 2 1/2 hours while the investigation was taking place.
